The other day I spent a thousand crowns

on two books. Both of them are in Russian.

One of them in called Гарии Поттер и Философиский Камень -- that sounds like this when you read it out loud: "Garee Potter ee Filosofisky Kamyen'" and its English-language meaning should be obvious. Here's the cover of the book for those too silly to figure it out.

I also bought an anglo-ruskie/ruskie-anglisky slovar', or English-Russian/Russian-English dictionary. The reason should be clear.

But guess what? My friend Natasha who is from a town near Ekaterinberg heard I was trying to read a book in Russian and she offered to let me borrow her Russian copy of an English-language children's book originally titled Jonathan Livingston Seagull. I'm on the top of the fourth page. My vocabulary needs work :[

Tomorrow is the book club!!! No one reads this blog or cares!!! :[!!!
