Man, what the hell, man

In addition to my unfortunate altercation with that jerk who robbed me tonight, these are the things that are happening in my life right now that make just nogoddamnedsense to me:

1. frank2169, a.k.a. "Collector of Postcards"

Two days ago, I got this email:
Dear  knigt, my name is Francesco, and I live in Italy. My hobby is to collect postcards of  places, monuments and city best in the world. In my collection, however, lacks one of the most beautiful  postcards, “Praga CITY BY NIGHT ”. I ask  the  pleasure  of  sending  a  postcards from  Repubblica Ceca  through the normal post .If all this is possible for you, I do realize this dream. Thank you in advance for a positive outcome to offer my most cordial greetings. FRANCESCO
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM  ITALY

which I, obviously, took to be some sort of very poorly written scam. So I wrote back:

This email seems like a scam to me. Are you a real person? Prove it, and then we'll see!

Where did you get my email address?

Which, surprisingly, elicited this response:

I can only assume that he found this blogspot account, which as we all know I run under the name knigt (as with everything I do on the intertoobs). I figure, what the hell -- I'll email this guy a postcard. After all, he will am be very happy receive the postcard that he asked me. And if you, gentle reader, want to send him a postcard as well -- feel free! We might just make this guy explode from happiness, working together.

2. Yet more people thanking me for responding to them

So also there is this video I posted not too long ago, called Down Prague's tram tracks, in which we go exactly where the titled suggests we go. The ridiculous part is when I get this comment on the video:
What were you doing there? I live very close from this place where was video filmed. I´m from czech republic and I´m really into public transport. Do you like finding something special? Tram track isn´t very typical tourist destination. Are you interested in trams? I want to know what are tourist doing near place I live. I´m very interested in your answer.
The comment was made by this precocious 16 year old. Yeah -- 16! So I responded with this:

Palmovka tram tracks
Hey! I'm surprised by your enthusiasm! Not many people I know care a lot about public transportation, in any country. But anyway,

I used to live right at the intersection of those tram tracks with Sokolovska, above the Erotic City, but I moved in December. I am not really a tourist, so you're right, the tram tracks aren't where tourists usually go =P I moved to Prague in September, from the United States of America, and have been working here since -- at a preschool for three months, and now at The Globe Bookstore & Cafe at Narodni Trida.

Do you still live in Prague? What has made you so interested in the tramways? I took that video because I like discovering the back alleys and unknown places in the city, and I figured that walking down the tram tracks would be interesting -- and it was! I found a bridge and some cool graffiti and a neat run down old train station. It was fantastic.

Which paved the way for this gem of a message:
Věc:Palmovka tram tracks - (more then it - our converstion about trasport and practising english)

I´m glad you answered me. I live in Prague also near Palmovka. I live near tram intersection but not intersection with Sokolovska but down near subway. I like public transport from my early childhood. I like even love it. I like trams trains subway systems. I even want to work in public transportation.

People don´t care about public transportation. I can´t stand it. There is very bad situation in US. I want to get things better in my lifetime. I agree it is interesting to find and discover lost places in city and there is full of them near Palmovka. I know lot of information about history of prague public transportation.

I started on youtube to coment. Then I uploaded some videos and now I see that it is very good way to have a chat about shared interests and practise english too. So if you want we can write together about our interests. I want to know much things about you, who moved from US to Prague. Why? Because of better public transportation? :-) When did you move to Prague exactly? You wrote september and
december.
You worked in preschool. Were you learning children english? What about your czech language? Do you learn it? Are you going to stay in Prague and work here? Or are you just studing here and you are going back to US? I live here since I was born. I´m 16.

You are first who wrote me personal message on youtube and I´m very interested about it. It is exciting.
I´m looking forward your answer. Vašek
Who knew I could cause so many people such excitement just by filming some tram tracks. The expectation is daunting, because I don't think I can possibly deliver on this kid's enthusiasm for public transportation. Any suggestions?

3. I got robbed.

 Did I say that yet?

4. Stories

I'm writing them. Lots of them! More than I've ever written before. Two so far are up at the top here, zerowhitenoises.blogspot.com, one more is being passed around and edited up (hopefully) and one more is being written by me, right now, starting last night and ending...soon? It feels really good. I am happy.

5. I am mad.

They canceled Frisky Dingo! They canceled Frisky Dingo! AAAAAUUUUGGGGHHHHHH.

That's all.

1. I'm glad that this is not a scam and that this person is genuinely interested in postcards.

2. This is awesome and I think it'd be neat to meet this person and maybe you could practice each other's languages!

3. You did say that already. I'm sorry.

4. My interpretations of your stories are better than the stories you write, but I could never make up and write an entire story, so you're better than me. I know that's what you wanted to hear.

5. WHAT?! That's baloney.

I also got the same email from the same person, i was hesitated whether it is a scam or not, so i Googled it and that's what brought me here.

Did you send him a postcard?! and if you did, did you get a flood of spams afterwards or any annoying kind of stuff or is he really a postcard collector?!

I know you don't know me, and most probably won't be able to read my name as it is written in Arabic, so my name is Mosab Ahmad and I work as a software engineer, you may know more about me on my english blog : http://fse-mos3abof.blogspot.com or my website : http://mos3abof.com

thanks.
