I went to the airport a month ago to pick up my friend Matt Boyce. I picked him up on Nov. 4, Election Day, and he spent his first day in Prague meeting some of my friends and staying up all night to watch Obama win the election. I hadn't been back to the airport since I arrived in Prague, and here's what I did when I got there:

Then I came out of the door that I had come out of once before, on Sept. 11, 2008, turned right, turned left, saw nothing, then saw:

Hooray! It was Matt Boyce sitting on the bench outside waiting for me! I went up to him and shook his hand and then gave him a hug and he was sweaty and I took this picture:

Heck yeah! We went onto the bus to come home, but we had to go get my keys from Megan at her work place because she'd lost them that morning and had come by my work to get my pair so I couldn't get into the apartment to let Matt take a shower :[ Here's the bus ride as I took pictures of it, and then some graffiti from the metro train ride back home that made Matt laugh. Drugs though ARE bad.

I'm sorry I didn't write about this until now when it happened Nov. 4. Matt sleeps and keeps his books and clothes in a room that until he started using it we called "The Punishment Room" and now it's "The Punishment Room + Matt's room." It's small, cramped. I don't think he minds it. He'd tell me if he did. He shaved off the beard almost immediately because he is allergic to cats too and Hobbes' dander was getting stuck in his whiskers (hee!) and causing purplish welts to rise on his skin (hmm).

Then that night we watched Election 2008 coverage. I'm making another post of that stuff in a bit. I might take a shower first....I just got off work. My hair is getting pretty long now -- here's what it looks like:
